We have been raising registered Black Angus Cattle since 2000. It has been a lifelong passion that has far exceeded our every expectation.
Our slogan at Palara Angus , “Balancing the Past With The Future” means, strengthening the traits that Angus cattle are known for, such as mothering abilities, fertility, calving ease and natural ability to marble and produce great beef. These are the qualities needed to keep Angus cattle at the forefront of the cattle industry and produce real world profits for commercial producers.
Our goal is to produce fertile females that are easy keeping and have good temperament with all of the carcass values to produce quality bulls and functional females. Palara Angus does not seek extremes but instead strives to successfully meet the needs of commercial cattlemen and purebred seed stock producers.
We do not use single trait selection in our breeding program, we have focused on a few traits that are important to us, marbling and yield grade.
We run our cattle in a commercial environment. The cows live on grass or good grass hay and mineral. Palara Angus cows are expected to work for a living just like yours. We breed our cattle to maintain their condition, raise a good calf and breed back in a 60 day calving season.
We started our herd with a few of the breed’s most proven cow families and through the use of AI &ET have built a quality herd and have many exciting new donors for our future.
